Hello Everyone,
Here is a link to the November Newsletter.
October was another disappointing month with only three sectors making gains … Standard Money Markets, Short Term Money Markets, and £ Corporate Bonds. Only the Money Market sectors have gone up in each of the last three months.
All of the stock market indices that we track also went down in October and are now showing losses over the last three months. The best performing market during August, September and October was the Indian Sensex, which went down by 4%, while the FTSE 250 and the Nasdaq both fell by more than 10% and the Hong Kong Hang Seng lost nearly 15%.
However, there has been a rally over the last couple of weeks and all of the stock markets are currently reporting month-to-date gains. The FTSE 100 has made 3.8% and the FTSE 250 is up 2.2%. The star performer is the Japanese Nikkei 225, which is up 4.7%. Maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
Our portfolios are both ahead of where they were this time last month but are still mainly invested in the Money Market funds.
As always, I hope that you enjoy this month’s newsletter and I look forward to hearing any feedback.
