Hello Everyone,
Here is a link to the January Newsletter.
During August, September, and October all of the stock markets that we follow went down, and some saw some significant losses … over the three months the FTSE 100 fell by almost 5% while the FTSE 250 lost more than 10% of its value.
It was a relief to see markets start to recover in November and the upward momentum continued through until the end of the year.
This is reflected in our latest sector analysis which shows that 32 out of 34 sectors went up in both November and December.
Both portfolios continue to head in the right direction and nearly all of our holdings have gone up since the last newsletter. The only exception is the TM Tellworth UK Select fund which has fallen by 0.2%. Our best performing fund, Jupiter India, has made a further 5% and is now showing a total gain of over 16% since we first went into it at the end of August.
Unfortunately, the start of January has been disappointing. Most stock markets are down and only three sectors made gains in the first week of the year. They are the two Money Market sectors and India / Indian Subcontinent. Let's hope it's not a sign of things to come.
As always, I hope that you enjoy this month’s newsletter and I look forward to hearing any feedback.
Kind regards and best wishes,
Richard
