After a generally positive September and October, stock markets struggled in November. Only four of the twelve stock market indices that we track went up. December has also got off to a slow start.
This rather disappointing performance is also reflected in the sector results, where the number of sectors making gains has dropped significantly.
Both portfolios have edged lower since the last newsletter, but not by much. The Tugboat is down 0.3% and the Ocean Liner is down 0.8%. This is a very different story from last month, when the Tugboat was up 3.2% while the Ocean Liner had gained 4.7%.
