It was great to see markets pick up in December after a disappointing November. Although it was not as strong as September or October, 20 out of 34 sectors made gains in December, up from 15 the previous month.
Nearly all sectors rose over the year. The only exceptions were UK Direct Property, down 0.2%, and India/Indian Subcontinent, down 8.9%.
Both portfolios have also gone up since the December newsletter. In the last four weeks, the Tugboat has risen by 2.9%, while the Ocean Liner has gained 4.6%. Over the last six months, they are up 9.1% and 12.3% respectively.
