The sector Graph shows each sector's (within that group) performance over the last 8, 26 or 52 weeks, based on the average of the funds within the Sector, on a week-by-week basis.
The sector Table data shows each sector within that group ranked by their 4, 12 or 26 week returns. An important feature of these tables is the shading function. Each return figure is shaded to highlight higher figures in each column. This allows you at a glance to spot trends appearing in the data.
Tables also show the last weeks returns in basic mode, or an extended week by week view in the advanced mode. You can switch between these modes by the button on the top right of all screens.
You can switch between different lengths of time (4, 12 or 26 weeks) depending on how far you want to see performance stretched out. We use 4 weeks as a rule to spot trends, but utilise the extended time to confirm if this trend is longer term. This all depends on your attitude to risk and how long you wish to confirm the trend.
