What does Decile Ranking mean?

Decile (pronounced Dess-isle) is a method of indicating the performance of an investment fund over a period of time compared to its peer group, rated on a scale of 1-10. 1 indicates that the fund is in the top 10% of funds being compared, whilst 10 would indicate that the fund is in the bottom 10%.
